The "Wall" runs for about seven miles parallel to St. Croix's North Shore, and there are 20 or more dive sites located within one mile in either direction. At Cane Bay, the Wall is less than 100 yards off shore and starts at 30-40ft and drops to 3,200 ft. You can see coral gardens of both soft and hard coral, and the sea is just teeming with all kinds of tropical fish and aquatic life. 19Th Century anchors and large deep water sea life can be found along the Wall. It's truly a scuba diver's dream.

If you're interested in the history of St. Croix, you might want to take a guided kayak tour of Salt River National Park. That's where Columbus landed in 1493, before being driven away by the Carib Indians.

If architecture is more interesting, you can visit Whim Greathouse Museum, a restored plantation house when sugar was king. Whim was a working plantation and in 1743 William Payne was the first recorded owner. However, in 1793 Christopher McEvoy was the owner to build the greathouse seen today. Through many more years and owners the property waxed and waned, and in 1954 St. Croix Museum Inc took over restored the property. It took them 71/2 years and on March 18, 1962 the Whim Greathouse was opened to the public. There are also many historical buildings in the towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted. and walking tours are available at certain times.
